I am originally from Jupiter, Florida. I have a really close family and a great set of friends back home. I spent 13 years dancing, mostly ballet. I also enjoyed reading and writing when I was younger. Growing up in an island-like setting instilled in me a love for the ocean. Yet, I still always wanted to live in a city. That's why when it came to picking a college, College of Charleston sounded perfect!
I am now a Junior at the College. I have had amazing classes and professors so far, and I'm looking forward to my Senior year. Last semester, I studied abroad in Florence, Italy. That is the one thing I would recommend to any incoming Freshmen: study abroad! It was an incredible experience. I hope to travel much more in the future.
I am majoring in Communication, with a concentration in Media Studies. I have taken many classes in the Communication, from editing to ethics. I hope to work for a magazine as a writer, or in public relations. This past semester I was the Social Media Intern for the BB&T Charleston Wine + Food Festival. This summer I will be interning for Charleston Magazine. I know that any field I enter will require computer skills, so Electronic Publishing & Design will undoubtedly come in handy!
